At SickKids, we perform about 12,500 surgeries a year in our Operating Rooms. Continuous investment in the latest medical equipment and technologies is essential to deliver the highest quality healthcare. Keeping equipment up to date is an enormous ongoing expense that’s not routinely covered by government funding - donations to this fund will allow us to support the purchase of equipment to support the ORs including but not limited to equipment for cardiac surgeries, orthopedics, neurosurgery and ophthalmology.
